Last year everyone had a similar discussion about Nintendo Vs Wii U. The main reason for differentiation was the price and value for money. The release of the Nintendo Direct Mini in the past few days has again given a thought about the relation of two. The releases made by Nintendo in the past few months are ports of Wii U.
The three which were the port games of Wii U are namely, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Hyrule Warriors Ultimate Edition, Pokken Tournament DX. They were the add-on to the family of Nintendo. They reflected ports of Wii U completely.
Comparative results of Nintendo with competitors
The business has suffered and so has the reputation in the market. Players need something new, more challenging and different from the going on the league. The developers have not considered the customer requirement.
They have failed to capture good market sale as Nintendo Wii U sold 13.56 million units in the past five years which is almost 62.37% of what the near competitor GameCube has attained. GameCube has successfully sold 21.74 million units in past five years. The games were not played by many.
Wii U is a better option
The company tried very hard to impress the customers by introducing Super Mario Maker, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and Splatoon. The two out of listed earlier were single player games. The players have a resistance towards the single player and low-quality level which was observed in the two.
At the beginning of the year it seemed that Wii U will not be a great performer but at the end of the year, things were surprising. Wii U sold 10 million units in its first year. They gained customer satisfaction as people who are obsessed with gaming actually felt amazing about the whole experience. It was a better deal for those who chose Wii U over Nintendo.
The expectation in the near future
Nintendo is expected to make a comeback with Super Mario 3D World. The developers are struggling to provide a great gaming experience and to make the market result better than before.
